DRUID conference dinners are known for their excellent food and high fun factor.
When in Rome, we will do as the Romans and host a sumptuous convivium at the gorgeous 1500-century renaissance Villa Piccolomini. The villa is situated in the heart of Rome, next to the Vatican and the Basilica of San Pietro, in a park also housing the Rina Morelli and Paolo Stoppa pavilion theatre and the Leo De Berardinis and Perla Peragallo conservatory. Before dinner, we will glance down at the Basilica of San Pietro while we enjoy our welcome aperitivi. During dinner, the park will be lit and local artists will perform.
Transport: For those participating in excursions, transport is provided to the conference dinner. From Basilica of San Pietro to Villa Piccolomini is approx. 2 kms. (a steep upward walk, so taxi is recommended).
Dress Code: Smart casual.
