Getting from Copenhagen Airport to CBS

The Conference venue is Copenhagen Business School (CBS) located in Copenhagen City. A map and travel directions can be found here.  Most conference activities take place at CBS's main campus on Solbjerg Plads 3 (adjacent to the Metro Station 'Frederiksberg'). Selected conference activities will also take place at the CBS localities 'Kilen' (Kilevej 14A - adjacent to the Metro Station 'Fasanvej') or 'Dalgas Have' (adjacent to the Metro Station 'Lindevang'), all within walking distance of the main conference venue.

There are three convenient ways to reach CBS from Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup): by metro (fastest and cheapest), by taxi  or by train (convenient to some locations).

Metro
The fastest and cheapest option by far is to take the Metro (and NOT the train). The Metro that departs from Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) International Terminal 3 - one level up. Buy a ticket (3 zones - 50 DKK) to 'Frederiksberg' Metro station at the ticket office in the airport's arrival terminal 3, located in front of the doors to the platform. Tickets cannot be bought on the platform or on the train. The fine for traveling without a ticket is +600 DKK. While valid (1.5 hours), the same ticket may be used on all trains or buses within central Copenhagen.

Taxi
Taxies depart from all airport terminals. No pre-booking is needed. The average trip will cost around 350 DKK (depending on traffic and time of day). All taxis provide a printed receipt if asked. VISA cards and other major credit cards are usually accepted. Tipping is not used for transport or in hotels. Taxies are called at +45 3810 1010 or +45 3535 3535.

Train
Trains are only to be preferred if you are NOT heading for CBS (best served by the Metro) but for a location close to a railway station (such as certain downtown hotels located close to the central station). The train departs from Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) International Terminal 3 - one level down. Buy a ticket (3 zones - 50 DKK) at the ticket office in the arrival terminal 3, located at the head of the escalator to the platform. Tickets cannot be bought on the platform or on the train. The fine for traveling without a ticket is +600DKK. While valid (1.5 hours), the same ticket may be used on all trains or buses within central Copenhagen.Take the train towards Copenhagen or 'Helsingør' (and NOT towards 'Malmø' (in Sweden)). It departs from the airport terminal every 10 minutes during the working hours and every 20 minutes the rest of the day and during weekends.
